On Thursday 12th November 2009, Miss Roberts, Mr Skinner and year 10 pupils Cameron Hughes and Katie Wynne travelled to Cineworld in Cardiff to attend the prestigious media4schools awards 2009.

Sponsored by Sony, the awards ceremony is designed to celebrate school and community film making.

Cameron Hughes had been nominated for two awards; ‘Award for Best Animation’ and ‘Award for Best Overall Film’. We were delighted to hear Cameron’s name being called out as the winner of both awards for his very amusing animation ‘Thing goes to school’.

Along with two framed certificates, Cameron won a fantastic Sony camera kit for our media club and a day trip to the Boomerang studios in Cardiff where he will be able to watch some animations being made for TV!

We look forward to watching Cameron’s next animation and hopefully we can return to the awards next year with films that Cameron and other Cowbridge stud ents have made and win more fantastic przies.
