Last Thursday, five competitors battled it out with two pieces each in their bid to become ‘Rotary young musician’ for the Llantwit/Cowbridge Zone. No competitors took part from Llantwit Major so it was up to the Cowbridge pupils to compete against each other to see who would go through to the regional final in Swansea.

The competitors all played music of grade VII standard or above in the school’s sixth form hall in front of friends, family, Rotarians, staff and two adjudicators.

Jacob Clarke (Piano) and Rhys Cater (guitar) were runners up in a very entertaining evening.
