National Assembly Head Chef Visit

Jason Lloyd the head chef at the National Assembly for Wales in Cardiff came into school to give a demonstration and talk to those pupils in yr10 who are taking Food Technology.
Jason talking to the pupils about the industry he works in. Showing them the different kinds of vegetables he has brought in and explaining what it is he will be making during the lessons.
Jason – showing the pupils how to prepare and take the meat out of the lobster shell.
Cooking the seafood (lobster, tiger prawns and crab) ready for the stir-fry.
Jason – giving a demonstration on how to make sweet and sour sauce. This will accompany the seafood stir-fry. The sauce is then, using corn flour and water (forming a slick). Frying the vegetables. The seafood has then been added to the vegetables and left to cook.
The finished dish, and how he would present the meal in the restaurant he works in.
The seafood stir-fry drizzled with sweet and sour sauce.
The Dragon fruit ready for serving.
Jason – talking about different fruits and vegetables from all over the world. He is preparing a dragon fruit.
Jason – getting pupils to try some of the dragon fruit.
