by Hugh Williams
20 May 2005

The Under 14’s school cricket team started their league fixtures with a home game played at the cricket club against Bishop of Llandaff. Home captain Will James won the toss and asked Bishop to open the batting in the 20 overs match. Gareth Moorcraft and Lloyd Bishop were far too fast for the opening batsman and with the score at 5 for 3 wickets the spin terror of James Thomas 4 wickets for 16 runs, Justin Davies 2 for 6, young Michael Lloyd 2 for 5 and Stuart Thomas 0 for 5 saw the away team all out in the 14 over for 43 runs.

After the early wicket of Tom Johnson, Nathan Elliot Green 18 not out and James Purley 19 not out saw the school home by a wicket with 11 overs spare. The school play Barry next.
