At Cowbridge you will usually have your science lessons in one of the two laboratories. Very early on you will learn how to use the Bunsen burner safely and how to name some of the apparatus such as pipettes, spatulas, tripods and measuring cylinders. Being able to work as part of a team to carry out experiments will be very important.

| The head of science is Mrs. Bound and the Head of Key Stage 3 science is Mrs. Ahmad. There are many more science teachers, some of who are Mr. Muggleton, Mrs. Beaven, Dr. Brown and Mr. Weekes. In year 7 you will study chemical reactions, acids and alkalis, variation and classification, reproduction, electricity and the solar system. |
